Laptop DVD Rom

Hi all,

I am trying to find a firmware for my DVD Rom on my laptop that will make it DVD region free. It is a Dell Laptop and here are the details for the actual dvd rom itself:

HL-DT-ST CDRW/DVD MU10N

I can find loads of HL-DT-ST drives with different model numbers, just wondering if anyone knows an alternative firmware to use instead of the Mu10n model number which seems to be a mystery to find?

dunno about firmware, but why not look for something like anydvd or dvdghost, as they also make discs region free
