Hey ppl !:) Ok, I have a HP Compaq nc6320 laptop, with "Mobile Intel(R) 945GM Express Chipset Family" graphics acceleration. So is this a dedicated "graphics card" or onboard?

The reason I ask is because Adobe Photoshop CS4 has OpenGL drawing, but when I try to enable it I get an error that tells me that I have no Graphics Card.

And when I render a 3D object it tells me that I have no Graphics acceleration hardware and all rendering will be done "software only".

So how does this work?

But you can allocate memory to graphix in bios...up to 255 M on the nc 6320..It will diminish your available ram by the selected amount though.
Press f2 while booting and access the bios.

OK cool, but I can't seem to enter bios, I press f2 like crazy on boot but it just continues to partition selection. I've also tried del and f10 and f12, they don't work either.

@all The other thing is, how do I make software detect the OpenGL, because according to the drivers I have installed, OpenGL is supported?

I got a Intel Graphics Chipset and i cant set it in my BIOS!
I got a Toshiba Satellite L300-1A3...

Intel graphic chipsets are not very good at 3D. They're great for battery conservation and wonderful at 2D, MPEG2 (DVD) playback and video overlay but 3D accelleration is limited in terms of performance and features so CS4 won't work with them.

you can increase ur graphics memory in bios to a max of 128mb, but its not going to sort out the problem, oh when the "compaq" screen comes up when u boot up wait for it to prompt you to enter bios then press f2

they are crap onboard cards that's what. got one on my HP530 laptop.

Where can one adjust the display except in the BIOS. Because it says that my notebook got up to 732MB Mobile Intel Graphics, but when playing some random game on it, it lags like hell... There is no place in the BIOS to adjust it, and the assigned graphics memory are like 32MB...?
