Laptop Help

i have a Compaq A910 laptop, and have always been frustrated with how quiet the volume is.

at first i thought there was a fault, because even when its at its maximum volume, its barely audible. i have to put headphones in to watch anything on it.

i know laptop speakers are notoriously bad but this really takes the biscuit.

any ideas about any software that could help increase volume?

I have the same problem on my Fujitsu, It was fine on XP but when I upgraded to Vista the sounds is so soft it is annoying. I am going back to XP so hopefully this fixes it!
