Do you have proxy settings set up on your laptop? Unlikely, but it's a possibility.
Alternatively, I suspect you may have a static IP set up on the laptop, in which case you need to make sure that the default gateway is set to the correct IP.

I dont have proxy settings and im not sure how to check/set the default gateway..

Thanks for responding

Actually, come to think of it, you should be able to make a PPPoE connection even if you don't have an IP on the network, so it won't be that.
Try running the network connection setup wizard again, and creating the PPPoE(Dialup) connection from scratch?

I've tried that....... Could the problem maybe have been caused by me spilling coke over the laptop a few weeks ago....
Only the keyboard doesnt work....
Btw i've tried connecting to the router wirelessly and via ethernet....

Does the laptop get onto the network at all?
