Hi Guys,

Could anyone help with prices for laptop memory please.

We have 2 laptops at work that we want to upgrade and i would like to know what it would cost for 512mb and 1 gig single modules.

Laptops : IBM Thinkpad T42, IBM Thinkpad R52.

Thanks in advance

My prices:

kingston 512mb so-dimm , 200 pin - DDR2-533 , CL4 , 1.8v - lifetime warranty
R790

kingston 1024mb so-dimm , 200 pin - DDR2-533 , CL4 , 1.8v - lifetime warranty
R1430

So the memory is exactly the same for both laptops?

Because we got a quote with two different prices for the 2 laptops :
1024mb R1870 for the T42 and 1024mb R1352 for the R52

kingston 512mb so-dimm , 200 pin - ddr400 , pc3200 , 3-3-3 - lifetime warranty
R760

kingston 1024mb so-dimm , 200 pin - ddr400 , pc3200 , 3-3-3 - lifetime warranty
R1440

PM me if you want to go further with it, thanks.

Sorry if I am being stupid, so that memory will work with this...

Memory SPD
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

DIMM #1

General
Memory type DDR
Manufacturer (ID) Hyundai Electronics (AD00000000000000)
Size 512 MBytes
Max bandwidth PC2700 (166 MHz)
Part number HYMD564M646B6-J
Serial number 1CDE503B
Manufacturing date Week 105/Year 22

Not being stupid.

That is DDR333 (also called PC2700) and anything DDR400 (PC3200) would work with it, it would just downclock itself to match that modules speed.
