Laptop mic not working

Hi all i have a Toshiba Sat m305 with me

Fixing for a friend

When using the mic it does not seem to work,but when i plug in headphones with a mic it works.

So basically,Laptop mic not working

When plugging in a external mic it works.

Does anyone know what the prob could be?

Ok so the audio drivers they installed was the wrong one..

So installed the one from toshiba's website and pow it works like a charm
