Yeah for $1700 its is for free :). I just want to know if this is available here and at what price. I have a mate coming from the states soon but what a mission to order it without a US credit card.

hehe
how about one of these
http://www.dailytech.com/Report+HP+Set+to+Deliver+12lb+20+Pavilion+HDX+Gaming+Laptop/article7178.htm

"When it comes to processing power and features, the Pavilion HDX will have it all. The unit will be powered by a Core 2-based processors while graphics duties will be handled by a GeForce Go 8000 Series GPU. Given the size of the notebook, there is ample room for four integrated speakers along with an HP Bass Reflex subwoofer. The notebook is also large enough to accommodate a full-size keyboard and an integrated media remote control. "

20" screen and 6kg's :D

marine1 try hifi corp otherwise tarsus or axiz, they distribute the pavilion range

What's the price for this unit?

No, my mate is bringing it in for me in person. He will be here next month so I will save big time on that. It seems like a great notebook, I wanted the tablet one but it has crap graphics.

The only comparable HP product available locally is the HP Pavilion dv9293 which costs R16999:

Operating System:Genuine Windows Vista™ Home Premium.
Processor:Intel Core 2 Duo T7200.
Processor Speed:2.00Ghz.
Standard Memory:2048MB.
Internal Hard Disk Drive:240GB.
Hard disk drive speed:5400rpm.
Display size:17” WXGA BrightView.
CD-ROM and DVD:Super Multi DVD Writer (+/-R +/-RW) with Double Layer support.
Imprint finish
Lightscribe
Webcam

Wow, I think that is a great price. Maybe the price I got is not so good?
Only difference I can see is the screen is not as good but you get 2 hard drives with the SA one and also the SA one has no bluetooth. And no bag.

Converting $1700 = R11 900 which is a very good buy for the specs.
