Hi,
My girlfriend is looking to buy a laptop but she doesn't want to spend much more than R6000, can you tell me what should she be looking for, and what is the best that she can get for that amount of money.

Yes i do, had he has already approached me for a price. I ask you not to post here, because you'll say it out of anger and it will effect his buying possess. You are how ever welcome to post another alternative

fujitsu siemens L1310G

I went and bought a Fujitsu Siemens L1310G from Makro the other day, its got XP Home, 1.6ghz cpu, 80 gig, 512mb, dvd writer, wide screen crystal screen 15.4 inch, wifi ,ethernet ,modem ,firefire ,sd card reader ,ATI video card (shared Memory)R 6 995.

It was the best specs at best price. I could find and looked @ Eurobyte, Rectron, Proline, nline websites, Incredible Connection.

The only bad thing is XP home but for a home notebook its fine.

As un upgrade on this Laptop you can have Pro for R300 more.

Yeah, if you were on last night. There was this guy (no names), he posted a pc that cost 5999,00 and asked if it was worth that. I then posted a reply that it was not and that i could do the same pc for R700 less. He then got angry at me as started a big flame war. If you ask me, he was not trying to buy the Pc he was trying to sell the pc. Anyway everyone started flaming him and he got more pissed at me. So he made that account.:mad:
 
and he is missing now so maybe he is at school ?
Learning how to behave maybe ?
