Wats the best Laptop you can get for R8000.

Thanks.

Your name says it best, what ever you get make sure it is Acer, best after market service I have ever had in regards to returns. I had a problem phoned them, they came and fetched it and carried out the repair and brought it back to me in 2 days total. That is customer service! The 4600 series is around that price if I am not mistaken.

Toshiba have a good special on at the mo but it is a entry level. They also have an AWESOME laptop I got an ad about for about R15k ex dealer price, but oh so beautiful!

go for the acer range, and don't touch the toshiba's, sony is way overated, ASUS are making super models, for 8 big one's lok at the acer ferrari range

do not go for toshiba

there back up support from rectron is not good
i waited 3 weeks for a toshiba laptop to be fixed

acer fixes most of the laptops i sell in under 5 days

I haven't had any problems with any of the Toshiba laptops I've sold, but one thing that annoys me terribly is that they have a UK-layout keyboard instead of US-layout.

Thats what you get for buying from Rectron... they are too cheap to change keyboards to US. Its a simple matter of 10 secs more on the phone to order the Us keyboard with the laptop.

Fujitsu Siemens from MAKRO, good value for money, amazing specs. Go check them. http://www.makro.co.za/product.asp?sku=000000000000085908|EA&dept_code=GBAB&dept_id=6367&iPageNum=&
