Hi Guys.

My GF has a rather annoying problem.
She has an HP PavillionDV6000 which honestly has given her endless problems.

Currently the RAM that is "Free" will stay on around 8-10mb max.
It has 1x 512Mb Stick and is running Vista. I guess ill have to get another stick etc. Is there any way of freeing some of this up. I have closed most of the applications running but 8mb is ludacris. Perhaps a RAM Optimizer or something??

If so any ifno would be great.

Thanks.
:)

Running Vista off 512MB RAM is not good. I fear there is much you'll be able to do, as Vista needs at least 1GB. :(

Please PM me for pricing on another stick of RAM.

I have a Laptop with 1GB RAM running Vista business edition and it struggles after a while of use. Memory consumption starts off at about 500 to 600MB when booted and slowly creeps up after a couple of hours of use untill the full 1GB is consumed.

Bottom line with Vista a minimum of 2GB is recommended. Get at least another 1GB stick for 1,5GB total otherwise you will just waste your money

Thanks guys.

Ill get some more Ram. Strange that its only started givein issues after a year but hey. It needs to be done :)
