Ok so I've got a laptop which moves between a domain and my home network, whenever it connects to the home network internet becomes completely unusable for all computers on the network - timeouts etc.

Some Telkom support person once mentioned something about XP SP3 causing problems with DNS settings or something - but this is running XP SP2. The router is a linksys wrt54g.

Anyone got any suggestions? I'm sorta stuck.

Thanks

Possible IP conflict between your laptop and your home router?
Is your home network running DHCP?
Does your laptop have a static ip?
Is there possibly some service like internet connection sharing/ a gateway service(who would know why) running on your laptop?
