laptop switch guidance

laptop power button guidance

Hi Guys

Please offer me some guideance.Check these images here http://imageshack.us/g/39/img2527dfm.jpg/

My laptop,a Acer Aspire 3683, the power button has broken off the Bazel.Now I tried to
glue it on but it comes off.Maybe I used the wrong glue, Any ideas how I can get it back on.

Cant see so clearly in that pic is that the outside cover or the pin? you normally get a cover over the pin. If you can see the pin put a piece of rubber over it
 
Erm... can't you replace the switch with a new one? Take the whole shebang to Communica (or any good electronics shop) and ask the salesperson there to get the correct part for you.

Its not the switch ,that is on the laptop,its the button you press down which activates the switch

put a piece of tape over it and use a pen to start it till you get it to repair shop to get the replacement for you

Ahhhhhh... ok :o

Cannibalize.... Buy a cheapy remote with the right size rubber buttons, then strip it, cut a rubber button out, fit it, and it should work...
 
anyway guys if someone has a similiar problem, I used q-Bond and stuck the 2 together.Gotta to be one of the best
super glues I have ever worked with.Check it out on youtube.
