Hi guys. I'm having a bit of an issue with the resolution of the HD TV. My laptop runs at 1366x768 (The max it can run) but when I connect it to the TV, that resolution looks quite blotchy on the TV. I tried to go into the Intel Graphics settings and set a custom resolution for the TV (I set it at 1920x1080), but it didn't seem to make much of a difference. Is there anything I can do to set the TV resolution higher?

Thanks :)

What is your GPU, and have you updated to the latest drivers?

Is this about watching video? If so:
What is the quality of the video you are watching?
What program and codecs are you using to watch the video?

Onboard Intel HD Graphics.

It's not necessarily for movies, but I want to try a few games just for experimenting around. I tried FIFA 11 this morning and the resolution makes it look a bit blotchy.

Hi heimer,

I actually watched movies off my laptop last night connecting it with an HDMI cable.

I used the Intel Graphics Settings, using the LCD TV as the only display. After clicking accept the max available resolution changed from 1366x768 to 1920x1080. I then selected that and it worked fine. (Just had to shrink the sides in a bit).
