Hi,

I am looking for a laptop (not necessarily for gaming, more of a powerful workstation) with both a SSD and HDD and min 16GB RAM. I initially considered the following on my shortlist:

Dell Inspiron 7567, Gigabyte Sabre 15 and Acer Aspire V Nitro

Then I saw the new HP Pavilion Power 15 which I am leaning towards at this stage. Unfortunately there is not much ito reviews out yet for it and it is expensive.

It seems only laptops targeted at the gaming market are configured to this spec level or higher.

Any advice or better options? Know of any "business" laptops with dual drive option?

Thanks.

You can always buy a standard laptop with a CD-ROM drive, and replace it with a hard drive caddy - take out the standard magnetic hard drive, install an SSD in its place, then use the removed magnetic drive, and put it in the caddy

Just be sure to get the correct type for your laptop (there are 2 different sizes if I remember)

My work laptop contains 2 drives. One Hybrid it came with, then they popped in a SSD. (it still has the DVD drive)
It's a Dell Vostro.

So surely you can do as Segg suggests, buy whatever laptop you fancy and pop in another drive?

Lenovo P51 has two 2.5" drive bays, one can hold up to two NVME SSD's, and the other can hold an HDD.

RAM can go up to 64GB with 16GB modules.

Best to buy one with standard HDD and then add an SSD like Segg mentioned.
