Laptop

I agree, one should never sell something that is not suited to the desired purpose. However, the desired purpose part is always debatable....

My own laptop, is a Celeron. I use it for email, web browsing, documents etc; and it works just fine. The next step up, to a 1.8 C2D, is almost R1300, or 30% more expensive. I did not think that the extra cost was required. Rather give the buyer the facts, and let them decide if the extra cost is worth it....
I've heard that many many times. I only need it for x,y,z. They get the laptop and a year later when they've graduated to a few games or more serious things and I hear "why the heck did you tell me to buy that slow one".:p

I would never, ever advise anybody to get a computer with less than a dual core processor. Unless it's a barebones netbook in which case they must know what they want.

I spotted these from Makro.
I've always thought Vaio were quite stylish. Has anyone tried them?
