Hi, any suggestions on a lap top for a friend with a budget of R8k.

He wants to start a graphics course, and will also be using either Corel or Photoshop.

There are lots of good laptops out there. I bought a Toshiba last year for R6000.

It comes with 4gb ram, upgradable to 8gb. Core i5 processor, 1gb AMD graphics with dedicated ram. Can't remember the other specs right now. Mine also came with Windows 7 Home Premium but I upgraded to Windows 8. All the ones they sell now will probably come with Windows 8.

Your friend can check Toshibas offerings, they make good quality laptops.

Edit: just want to add that I use Photoshop and Lightroom on my laptop for editing my photos. It runs very smooth.
