Sirens blared in central Madrid on Wednesday afternoon after a large explosion, which appears to have destroyed at least one building. The blast occurred on Calle Toledo, near Puerta de Toledo, according to Spanish television. News reports said the blast may have occurred at a church, which is near a school and a residence for the elderly. There is no confirmation yet on how many have been injured, but ambulances were lining the area as neighbors were being evacuated.

Was wondering about this as I saw a random Reuters vid on it (which I didn’t watch) and didn’t see any major story so figured it’s still developing.
