Large Palm Trees

For many years I have heard various people tell me, or mention in general, how much large palm trees are worth when sold.

Yesterday after a client meeting, the client, on seeing the landscaping guys trimming back some leaves, also said that she cannot believe they are cutting off some of the "leaves" - they must rather just sell the tree as it is worth so much.

I asked her who would buy these trees at such a premium (as I have 4x in my yard - each higher than 5 m) and she said "ag, any nursery will".

Does anyone here know if there is any truth to the tales of the value of these trees, and if so, who/where in JHB i can contact to sell them to?

I also have a palm tree that they can come and take for free.
Everytime I hear that I can sell the tree, I tell the person they can sell it and keep all the money, 7 years later and my tree is still here.

I dont know about palm trees, but grown trees are generally expensive.

I have a large cycad like tree I need to take out. Likewise they can have it without cost. Happily say ciao to it. Would love to have a little more sun and light in my lounge/garden.
