True enough, and the 1TB is larger in another way, too: 12.5mm thick, instead of 9.5mm, which excludes quite a number of laptops, unfortunately.

Nope. From the article, there are two 375GB platters, not a single 750GB one.

Haha, somehow missed that! I read about the single platter 750gb drives a few days ago and I must have connected the two articles without thinking about it

Seagate has 1TB 2.5" ext drives. Are the actual drives inside bigger or what, because the ext housing is the same as say a 250gb freeagent ext.
