I have one of those gel mouse mats, that supports the wrist with a mouse "t1t" :)

What i want to find out is if there is a LARGE deskpad available anywhere?
reason is that my elbows take a beating on the wooden desk, sitting in front of my PC @ work 10 hours a day.

Or even a place that sells neoprene strips or something nice and soft for my elbows.

How big are you talking about?

The gaming grade pads are around about 50cm x 50cm if you want bigger maybe you must just get something like that made up maybe!

Razer Exact Mat? Has a gel wrest in front.

Otherwise Razer Goliathus Alpha size, they about 35x45cm.

A mousepad isn't going to protect your elbows.

Go to the pharmacy and check out their elbow bandages, etc. Or try a pad... you know... the one with wings. :D

Sometimes get that too when I spend too much time @ PC. :(

Large mousepad w/ gel won't help much imo.

I'd suggest getting two pieces of poly urethane sponges they sometimes use for packaging (not Styrofoam). One thick piece, one thin. The thick one goes in the middle of the forearm, sort-of balancing the arm like a see-saw & taking the weight off the elbow. Thin one goes below the elbow itself.

Helps, but at the end of the day you'll have no alternative but to take a long break. If you sometimes feel a tingling sensation in your 4th and 5th finger you might also want to read this.

Alternatively, just gain some weight for extra padding. I doubt any obese people have this problem.

what i've currently done is to cut the wrist support off of an old gel mouse pad and use the large surface area for my right elbow, and the gel part for the left elbow.

ideally, i would want my desk covered in the stuff, but realistically i only need the front portion of the desk covered where my ely's go.

Anyone know where they make mouse pads?

Why don't you head off to the hardware and buy some foam rubber sheeting? Roof in the roofing section. They sell them in rolls of different widths and thicknesses, usually 5-10mm thick. Get some spray glue and then glue the item to the edge of the desk.

You can also get a length of non-slip rubber mat. I have this on my desk. It looks like netting, thin but it offers some padding.

Perhaps hit up the yellow pages and find a Dow Corning supplier in your area. Call them up and ask them if they can do a silicone gel. Something like the stuff at the bottom of this link:

Or call up a local rubber supplier or hobby shop and get some mold making silicone rubber or liquid latex. With those options you can make your own padding.

There's a host of other things you can make with it too:
