Bought a brand new laser mouse from CNA - first one was DOA second works fine - but eats through a set of good AAA's in 2 weeks WTF.

Seriously think I'm going to move back to wired technology - batteries suck

My Logitech M305 I use with my laptop lasts about 6 months on a single AA battery.

I use these Energizer Recharge Power Plus AA/AAA/9V Batteries, no problems. Powering my PC/Media since 2010

Ok fair enough I could get rechargables - but surely 2 AAA Eveready's should last longer than 2 - 3 weeks, pointing to a possible flaw with the mouse. My old mouse that used Double A's lasted a good 6 months

Get some Duracell or Energizer batteries, they will last far longer than cheapie Eveready batteries.

They were Energizers soz :/ think it might just be a crummy mouse. Will give it away and get something decent - it was only like R100

I've noticed the older technology chows batteries, all of the newer models use less power. I had an old mouse and keyboard set and had to replace batteries every month. Bought a new logitech set and have used them for 6 month without replacing.
