When I got DSL about a year and a half ago I would ping saix and get around 30ms, a year and a half later i get 70ms it was a slow process but my latency has gotten worse and worse.
The problem is telkom doesn't see it as an issue, as my download rate is still fine, but for online gaming it really messes things up for me.
They say its because more and more people are getting DSL, surely they should cater for the extra load of people on their backbone?
The explanation I got was "Your message now has to wait in a longer queue when it reaches the exchange" what irritates me is that the exchange is 200m away from my house.
Any suggestions to sort this problem out?
