Latency Issues - Durban

I been having this issue on IS Semi-Shaped through Axxess for the last couple of weeks and this morning i decided to find out if anyone else is having the issue... apparently everyone is...

Is this issue also occuring on the SAIX Unshaped ADSL accounts?
And the people who are using MTN business or Verizon, what ISP are you using?

I use GConnect and SAINet's (UNSHAPED ADSL) products and I am not having these problems.
I do know that AXXESS uinshaped uses the SAIX backbone though, whereas the aforementioned 2 use the IS backbone.

So, it makes sense that they would be unaffected by the SAIX problem.
 
i have a semi shapped account with axxess and i have kuk pings at night
 
So the question is has there been problems with the overseas link for the past 4 months now cause most ppl I know that play wow have had these concurrent problems for so long
 
Saix vs verizon

I have an unshapped ADSL account with Saix

I have had it for ages and I have been playing wow with a latency of 200 to 300ms in the last few weeks it has jumped to 500 - 600ms

with huge lag spikes it makes it almost impossible to raid.

I thought maybe its something on the Saix network so I purchase a web africa account with multi-realm

i did a tracert to the EU Wow Login server 80.239.178.110

As you can see something is horrible wrong with Saix

I get 200 - 300ms latency in wow with this webafrica account I have logged a call with Saix and sent them this tracert will see if they get back to me
 
I have been having these same issues for few months now. Axxess Unshaped and 626 accounts I use. Just been getting progressively worse and worse. My ms during the day, on unshaped is around 1k, and the 626 account which I use at night sits at 700ms.

I can't even pug VoA anymore during the day, I just get d/c'd the whole time..
 
Well I helped a guy out in my guild. Here was my advice that fixed his problem:

Get a Verizon unshaped account. That is it.

2 places that can give you this:
1. Webafrica multi-realm unshaped (ie. you can use saix or verizon by changing your username with .v or .s at the end)
2. Vanilla (tell them you only want the verizon account, as they might try to sell you a IS account)

According to my service provider there is a huge problem with the overseas link at the moment and is going to take 3 to 4 months to fix and hence y we having all the problems on Saix. Seacom goes live tommorow great help that will be ja right so we still stuck with crap latency and huge lag spikes all that keeps moving up is our ms and money out our pockets
