Latency problems and packet loss in CPT?

Since last night, my latency to overseas game servers has shot through the roof, at one point being completely unplayable. This morning it's SOMEWHAT better, but still at least double what it used to be. There's also a fair amount of packet loss when pinging / doing traceroutes overseas.

Since SAIX ever so nicely disabled public access to their noticeboard, I can't see if there's a general problem or if it's just me. Is anyone else experiencing this, and/or does someone know if there's indeed a problem?

Think it is country wide, PTA and JHB reporting the same problems. Also interrested in knowing what the hell is going on with Telkom again.

I'm having time-outs on both local and international, started about an hour ago. Can still get email from one server and occasionally connect to a website. My connection has been stable for many months now here in Krugersdorp.

Just spoke to axxess. They cant see any problems on the network CAUSE THE NETWORK NOTICEBOARD IS DOWN!

They said there must be big problems if they cant log into the noticeboard.

Also having huge latency problems here in Sandton area, Johannesburg.

Traceroute shows packet loss at lon-ip-dir-telecity-pos-5-0.telkom-ipnet.co.za

Can someone else with problems check if their packets are also lost at this router?

ultra-v16, try run tracepath google.com, or traceroute google.com, does that address appear in the router list?

Trace complete.

All ip addresses after the IPnet has a high latency but im guessing cause its overseas. The Ipnet router is still sitting in SA and should still have a low latency.
