i get very low local pings with isdn. Can anyone tell me if WOW is worth it. Sorry to cross-post, I didn't see this thread

Well the yanks really suck so i tend to beat them in pvp playing with between 800-1200 above 1200 it gets harder, but you can only really play with these latencies with a warrior(tank) or paladin other class suffer more for lag.

Busy researching which is best for playing wow mainly...

1. TK DSL 384 unshaped 3gig account
2. Iburst
3. 3G HSPDA

Clockworkorange...what type of monthly cost you paying?

The folks using 3G, has your line been consistent with the latency you posted, and the reliability...if you average your connection latency out and "uptime" has it been good.

Standard iBurst 3GB account - R599.00 p/m
(you get modem for free, if you take the 24 months contract, otherwise it's about R2,500.00 once off)

From my experience, ADSL 384 is your best bet here.Cost is about +-R600 with an imaginet unshaped account freestyle 2000+ .
Nothing better than a physical connection, between 300 - 500 ms US server.
Gamplay has improved a lot as i was on a shaped account between 500 - 850ms

Could you tell me what software you're running to do that?

I am using SocksCap and connecting to my Server hosted at UUNET which is running CCproxy.
