Latest info on LastPass data breach

LastPass, a password management service, announced on Thursday that hackers stole encrypted copies of customer passwords and other sensitive data such as billing addresses, phone numbers and IP addresses. [Bloomberg]
 
Their acquisition seems to be going great so far.
 
Right, this is the final straw. Time to switch away -after nearly a decade as a paying family customer.

Thankfully, everything as secure as possible. Increased everything that could be increased when I had set it up (so higher than their defaults) Using 2FA, etc for last pass sign-in on new devices, etc too - so hoping at least that the encrypted blob is secure. Master passwords changed once a year too.

What is best equivalent solution I can consider ? Mix of iOS, Android, Windows and Mac PCs

Edit: not wanting a keepass / cloud storage type solution (which would be ok for me), as my wife uses this too and at least with LP, it was easy for her to use. Don't want her to jump multiple hoops.

The real q is how good was your password?
Were their keys stolen?
I'd say for now that data is safe for a number of reasons.
Quantum supremacy ++ maybe not. (I.e. in the future).
Still, I'll be changing my major passwords including those for primary email. I don't store banking there.

Erm... yes.

Breaches happen to everyone? So? Who cares.
They are a company that specializes in protecting your personal information.
They screwed up massively. This is not because of hackers skill, but rather the companies lack of skill.
 
Busy looking at various solutions for my company.I think i will rather do the bitwarden self hosted in azure , where i can have granular control of who gets access.Any public facing password manager is open to attack.

I used Bitwarden without much issue for years, until I switched to 1Password due to my new employer at the time using it (and you get a free family account with a work account).

Imo, there's no comparison. 1Password is so much better. It was evident from the first few minutes of using it that it's a higher quality product.
 
And that is why I use the same password for every account and store it in my head

I moved to Bitwarden from Lastpass yonks ago, cross platform and free.
