Latest Kernel and PCMCIA Driver

I tried compiling the pcmcia driver (sourceforge.net/projects/ibdriver/) on a gentoo box by following this howto (http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-335474.html) on a 2.6.16 kernel, but got compile errors. It seems that the pcmcia header files have changed.

Has anyone successfully used these drivers on a new (> 2.6.13) kernel?

Why does one always find the answer to a question just after you have asked it?

A patch exists for the driver to upgrade it to 2.6.16, find it here: (http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1495363&group_id=138984&atid=742190)

Haven't tried it yet, will report back...
