1) That WW2 pilot, butchered and tortured.
2) A friend of mine's father was tortured and murdered last week as well.

And people think this is not racial hate crimes?
Both victims were old, white and couldnt put up a fight and yet were tortured.

there are racists out there marine, and these cases do sound like they were both hate crimes. i know plenty of people who were murderd and tortured ebfore they were, but i still can't look past the few black men i have known too who were tortured and murdered. let us think of them as well, not as hate crimes but victims of "human nature."
 
If these crimes do not have a racial tone to them, then one would see similar crimes, where white criminals go into "black" neighbourhoods and rob and beat to death elderly black folk. If this is so, then one can say that these types of crimes are not racially motivated.
 
He was very very wealthy, the thieves took his Merc... it was about money. He put up a fight hence the way he died.

Please stop with your race hate propaganda in the forum marine1. Stop exploiting this mans death to push your own racist agenda. Its lower than whale poo.

So all those 80-something black grandma's getting raped & killed for their pension money are victims of hate & racial crimes. marine1 you know you sound like that guy Schillenger from Oz. You actually have the exact same ideals, only he's an actor & you are not.
 
How many black people are tortured in the townships everyday Marine1? hundreds I bet.

guys, this is something close to marine1's heart and has affected one of his close friends, so maybe we should just tone down accusations a bit for at least this thread? both these murders were cruel and i hope the beasts that did this are caught and roughened up a bit only in the way the south african police know how.

i personally feel that in the first case it was to do with money marine1. we can't confuse robbery and hate crimes, my friend who works as a driver for a car company has been hijacked twice, and he is black. both times he lay on the ground and did nothing.

Yup I mostly agree, but I find the hijacking and exploitation of this mans death to push a very clearly racist agenda to be less than human.

i understand sometimes people can get emotional about these things too, and i think it's very very wrong to use dead people as martyrs for some cause, especially a false cause.

it just becomes hard when it's something personal, and i like the few things i do know about marine1, so maybe we can be more critical next time? like maybe when it hasn't hit home so hard for him. but ignore me, it's just me trying to make everyone happy again :)

Exactly, marine1's distorted if not myopic views on SA's race relations are well documented here. Remember his "My white brother's & sisters" thread, him seeing COPE & ANC members enjoying a lunch break on the campaign trail & going hysterical? The man is a firm believer in segregation of slave era proportions.
 
where will one find links to all these thousands of tortured blacks ? .... Interested in seeing the figures since they dont make the news and should be high
