Agreed, have Vodacom always offered month2month contracts though, or is this a first?
Vodacom's 4U contract has been available for ages. Its month to month and a fair few around here use it for their data bundles - I myself have a blackberry add-on tacked on to one.

Additionally anyone who opts not to renew their contract goes on month to month as SOP.

Vodadeal, is the subscription the same as the amount of airtime? I remember seeing deals before where you get a phone included and the subscription was much less than the airtime you get.

Also what about "bring-your-own-phone" deals?
E.g. MTN offers R105 airtime on topup for only R35 per month ATM.

Just visited a Vodacom shop. On the 7th of August VC released a deal where you get R135 airtime a month for R49 per month if you have your own phone. It's on Topup I think. The dude couldn't tell me if CLIP and itemised billing was mandatory, Vodadeal, do you know?
