Lazard has done their yearly energy price comparison for the US. Winners by far? Utility-scale Solar, Wind and Gas Combined Cycle turbines (at least on the lower end for GCCT). Rooftop solar is one of the more expensive ways. But then, they don't have electricity prices rising at 20% every now and again when Eskom wants more money.
