Is the Samsung 23" Wide SM2333SW 5ms DVI TFT Gloss Black a worthwhile purchase?
 
search the forum, plenty have been said bout this already
 
Well... search the this forum for SM2333SW and nothing, but searching for SAMSUNG gives too many responses too filter through :) Hell, I'm lazy and I'm just looking for a gamers/photoshop users opinion :) I can get one for R1599 so was just wondering if this is a good deal and is it a good product.
 
It is a nice monitor, i game occasionally online.
I previously had the 2232gw (2ms) and the speed difference to the 2333sw
is minute. (yes i noticed, i'm a little sensitive to rates like that :p)

Nonetheless, after a week, my eyes have adjusted and dont notice even that minute difference of speed anymore.

Picture Quality is good.

It's not glossy if thats what you were looking for. The frame is glossy, but the screen is matte. I prefer matte for less reflections, some prefer glossy for the appearance of greater clarity
 
Thanks @ unsecluded, I prefer matte myself as well. So you recon at the price I should go for 2 of them? :D

I dont use dual setups, but if that's your requirement, i would think
you have a winner at that price. good value. good support from Sammy with your 3yr Warranty.

Yes, new price (dealer price ex VAT) going too pick up 2 in the morning :)
 
If you buy them from Kalahari.net you will save yourself about R44 :p
 
I was shocked to see how easily the glossy appearance of the stand get scratched. I wipe the dust off the stand with my hand and it permanently scratched it...now it is matt.

Morel of the story? Don't clean it :D :p

Seriously, I haven't found that issue with mine....Be sure to use the right type of cloth, some clothes tend to scratch glossy surfaces.

:) hehehe... I bought 2 and they are SWEET, still trying to get over the motion sickness feeling :) BUT!!! WOW, so much screen real estate, esp in WoW!!!
