Hi

I have a Fujitsu Siemens ScaleoView 17" LCD monitor and since yesterday it seems to be going off by itself every few minutes which is rather irritating. I thought at first it was just a once off thing until it happened a few times again today.

Here are the symptoms:

-LCD feels rather hot to the touch.
-LCD switches off by itself whilst I am working.
-If i unplug power cable and wait a few minutes and plug back in it switches back on.... but would switch back off again not long after.

Here are the conditions:

-I live in CT and the weather has been rather ridiculously hot so it might add to the problem.
-I transport the monitor often between points but I always put it into the protective box and foam it came with.
-The LCD sits next to the wall underneath a bookshelf which might not be an awesome ventilation spot.

Help is Needed!

place a desk fan on it to try and keep it cool. see if that makes a difference.

if it does, then take it back. or get a new one.
