LCD - please help me choose one

Were could i get a decent 21" widscreen display which i can hook up to my dvd player via component and my playstation 2 via s-video, i need one locally that has both these connection otions as well as DVI?

AmonRe, How much cash you willing to spend? I can get you an Asus widescreen 20.1" monitor with all your requirements. Not cheap though unfortunatly. Got a webcam as well, but that is more of a gimmick if u ask me. If you interested I can get you a price.

Hey guys

While we on the topic, I'm looking for a 17" LCD with 8ms response time. Any suggestions on price and where to get them from in the Jhb area? Not too fond of buying larger items online, so preferably a shop that I can personally collect it from.

Thanks

How much is that Asus going for? Saw some pics a while ago..looked quite good.

Tis a tad on the expensive side: R6200.

20.1", 8ms, 1680x1050
3port downstream hub, 1.3mp webcam.
DVI, DSUB, RCA, S-Video, Component.

Pretty much anything you could ever want, except tis not cheap... I want one :(

Oh, and if you use it purely for gaming and thus want that uber-low response time you can get a BenQ FP93GX monitor for around R2.8k which is also a 2ms rated monitor with good gaming reviews; as well as the Samsung 940BF which is very nice indeed IMO. Otherwise, I would opt for the LG for sure.

I don't know where you do your shopping but I picked one of these babies up on the weekend for R1999 ex vat from PC International in Randburg...and yes, they do sell to the public.

You'll be hard pressed to beat their pricing by anything other than dealer prices.

Agreed! How in the world do they sell the Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 for R2499 (ex), that's way cheaper than the other guys.

Nevermind, the war is on http://www.prophecy.co.za/ with Prophecy firing the next shot at R2799 including VAT!

But seriously now...Go for the one with the lowest response time. The lower the better. I have a 19" Samsung with 2ms response time and I'm playing games like there is no tomorrow! Oblivion at 1280 x 1024, nogal!:D
