Somebody brought in a Mecer lcd screen without a pc.
The screen would not come on when connected to different pc's, only the power indicator would flash between green and orange.

The screen was in safe mode and once I cleared it, the screen worked fine.
The know the pc to which it is normally connected to. It is an oldish AMD with onboard graphics.

My question is, why would it go into safe mode?
I don't think the screen overheats, the vents seems clean enough and it ran for a half an hour at my bench.

Refresh rate settings on pc, maybe?

Your thoughts on this will be appreciated.

It is most prob the refresh rate. Or it could be on board graphics. My old gforce gave so many prob with my lcd screen and then got my new radeon hd 4800 series and the problems just vanished.
