Hey guys,
just thought I'd share some useless info...
We've got one of those Panasonic Wireless projectors in our main boardroom. Works well, when guys have a meeting several users can connect to it by wireless and project their laptop screen to the wall. I know old news!
Now, the projector in one of our other board rooms, and the sister company next door is a 'normal' projector, so u got to plug the VGA cable from projector to your laptop if u wanna show your laptop screen to the wall... so it's quite a schlep when more than one user needs to project something on the screen, like powerpoint/excel/pics, etc.
I've just got this Airlive Video projection server delivered :
http://www.airlive.com/products/AirVideo-2000/airvideo_2000.shtml
It seems to work extremely well to connect wirelessly (also has a LAN connection if laptop/pc don't have wireless).
Its also got a "Video" function, to play videos, in very good quality. The video playback on our other 'wireless' projector is not that great.
Just thought I'd share this, I had several guys ask about a solution to make projector wireless. (sofar) I can recommend this option.
I guess it could also work well at home, if u want to connect pc to roofmounted projector and not need the long VGA cable going up the roof, perhaps be a cheaper option to a real 'wireless' projector, as u can get a 'normal' projector and make it wireless.
Price about R2200
