JOB TITLE : Lead Consultant: Solution Architect
SALARY : Hourly Rate Negotiable

POSITION STATUS : FIXED TERM CONTRACT 24 MONTHS (Internal/External)
Purpose of the job
To perform the solution analysis and architecture within Cluster 2 Solution (National Departments) in order to design, develop / procure, package, release and maintain/enhance solutions in accordance with ICT standards and the enterprise architecture for Government.
Key Responsibility Areas
Developing and implementing strategies and roadmaps to ensure a comprehensive and integrated solutions. Create contextual and conceptual Solution Architecture and direct and quality assure solution and software development, including: Take overall responsibility for the required Solution Architecture on a project, Analyse the Solution Architecture trends and determine potential impact on services and processes, Identify, assess and communicate the organizational and financial impact of the gap between the “as-is” and “to-be” enterprise Solution Architectures; Oversee the documentation of all Solution Architecture design and analysis deliverables per project; Participate in the development and implementation of Architectural mechanisms for Solutions to improve interoperability of government systems. Programmes/projects manage development/procurement and maintenance projects so as to meet service delivery commitments. Participate in the development, implementation and evaluation of governance and monitor the adherence thereto so as to deliver quality products in a controlled environment.
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum: Bachelors degree in an ICT related field (Computer Science, Information Systems, Technology and Engineering) and/or equivalent. Experience: 8 – 9 years’ experience in the ICT field, including solution analysis, development and architecture with leadership, general management, and operational responsibility in a large corporate/public sector organisation. The experience must include 5 years’ experience in solution analysis, development and architecture for the development, implementation and maintenance / enhancements of systems within the corporate/public sector, including strategic thinking and leadership abilities; Successfully developed and implemented applications; Demonstrated project management competency and the execution of multiple projects, including managing resources across multiple projects; and Developed efficient and effective IT solutions to diverse and complex business problems.
