What will I need to know to perform this job?
• Matric & relevant qualification
• ISTQB certification
• 3 – 4 years’ experience as a Senior Test Analyst (Mainly doing manual testing in VB6 environment)
• 1 years’ experience leading a small test analyst team (x2 Test Analysts)
• Strong SQL skills compulsory
What will I do every day?
• Creating test packs & test cases to enable complete testing of solution
• Keeping test packs updated to reflect all relevant changes and new functionality
• Compile test report on items tested with results experienced
• Maintain a record of all test results and test reports including every test cycle completed before release
• Compile and maintain release notes of all functionality and applications released
• Test bugs, tasks logged on TFS and ensure they have been fixed and programmed correctly according to the scope of the functionality
• Test solution or process end to end to ensure that it functions as expected
• Test and work through test packs to ensure that all functionality working prior to code changes are still in full working order Compile release plans for complex applications and changes to be released in an controlled process
• Identify high risk changes and ensure that Product Owner, Technical Services Manager and clients are made aware of these Assistance programmers and Product Owner as required with investigation and replication of bugs
• Daily updates on work completed and plans for next day
• Feedback during the day to the Product Owner on investigations and tasks completed
• Updating all TFS and helpdesk tasks daily to indicate time spent and work completed
• Weekly test report displaying test cycles completed and tasks tested with results
