Budget around 500-1000 smackers on 24 month contract.

Not too concerned about the phone it comes with as it will be relegated to burner status, as I'll be porting the contract sim to my current iPhone which is on prepaid. Needs to be relatively new and decent though - maybe something like a P30 or mid to high end Samsung.

I need a minimum of 100 minutes talktime and 2GB for Spotify and maps and the rest. Usage predominantly around Sandton/Midrand.

Telkon appears to be best value but the horror stories concerning administration make me want to steer clear of being contracted to them.

MTN has the afrihost data top up option but they seem to have some sort of judgement on my record which I can't pin down with any of the credit reference agencies.

Vodashite is exorbitantly priced and my prepaid regularly drops calls.

Is Cell C ok? Company financials don't seem too healthy but their products are relatively good value.

Check with MTN their specials on Business contracts. 400 minutes 6.5gig data.
i think they have the P30 at R799.00

Looks good, thank you.

The sales bod at MTN said I should ring the ITC (now defunct I believe) to work out the 'blocker' on my profile. Experian, Transunion and the rest are all clear.

Good luck man, i am too waiting to get my hands on a P30 pro. But so expensive

Don't they do month-to-month?

Or Afrihost has 120min / 3Gb for R319 month to month.

Would be better to go month-to-month as you don't need a device. If it is crap you can change network.

I'll look into that but I do need solid international roaming and I'm not sure those rolling accounts always provide this.
