Hi guys

I have a pair of boots (nothing special, pair of Cats) which I normally just wear when I want to look decent for work meetings etc.. The problem is that sometime ago the one boot started going really dull (can't really pin point what caused it).

When I just got them, I used something called Nix wax (or something like that) which I would periodically reapply and to clean them I normally just used one of those spongy blocks you buy at Pick n Pay. When the one went dull I tried properly cleaning/washing (soap, water and brush) them and then reapplying the wax and then cleaning with the sponge but it did not seem to work at all. I finally gave in and decided to use polish (which is something I didn't really want to do, but hey). So after applying several "coats" of kiwi and then buffing with either a soft brush and then trying later with a damp cloth, its still does not shine like the other boot and looks darker/duller.

Any ideas, suggestions anything. I can't believe its this hard to get a pair of boots nice and shiny :what:

Thanks.

That's what I've been doing, but it just seems to be getting darker and darker and I'm worried about putting to much wax on seeing as there are quite a few crease lines so I don't want it to crack or something.
