Lechesa Tsenoli is the Minister for Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs of the Republic of South Africa from 10 July 2013.

Academic Qualifications:
  • He attended a programme of instruction for Lawyers at Harvard University and obtained a Certificate in Public Policy Management from the University of Western Cape.
  • Certificate in adult Education from University of KwaZulu-Natal.
  • Certificate in Development Planning for Community Leaders from the University of the Witwatersrands.
Positions:
  • He was a member of the following Organisations: Institutte of Local government; National Housing corporation; and Transitional National Development Trust.
  • He also served as a member of Joint Rent Action Committee in 1983; and as a member of Masibonesane Lamontville Youth Organisation in 1981. He was founder member of Sanco and as a member of Durban Civic Forum.
  • He was Deputy Minister for Rural Development and Land Reform of the Republic of South Africa from 2011 until 09-July 2013.
