So there is another one of their huge updates (2.1gb). What's up with all these game updates and how many more will there be. This is rediculous i.m.o. Why must they update the game almost every week and is it realy worth all the bandwidth and waiting time for the damn updates before you can play the game?

When was this update??
The last big one was like 3 weeks back and that was for The Passing DLC.
It was 1.2Gb total.

^^ Ya that's the last big update I got. When was the last time you undated L4D2 Acid?

There was a L4D2 update today, but it was only 2.6mb. For me at least

Jip Acid your PC must be smoking some nice stuff if you updated 2.1GB.

But on his point, gamers are like farmers in this country. Bitch when there isnt rain, bitch when there is too much rain. Bitch when a game isnt updated and bugs fixed, bitch when the game is updated to frequently or the updates are too large.

Oh well let me put it this way. I update the game eveytime there is a new update made available. Steam will start doing it automatically and then i check the size for the update.

This came out Last week Wednesday or Thursday if I remember correctly. I still played it in the beginning of last week with before the update was launched. I don't know what Steam or Valve is smoking but it seems that there is always a difference for every user in the file size.

I checked the specific updates news and it seems there was a game mode add onn and someting to do with the dedicated servers.

Anyway lets leave it there for now I was just looking for oppinions on all these updates so close to each other.

maybe you have the dedicated server installed (under tools) which had an huge update or something???

I personally know what you're talking about- two of my friends and I own the same games on steam, play them every night, then one night i had this huide update of more than 1 gig on, i think, DOW2 which they only had to update a few megabytes.
