I finally got 100% explored on Tyria last night, and with my 100% on Cantha and Elona, that makes me a Legendary Cartographer! So that's 7 max titles achieved so far.

If anyone's going for the cartography titles and having issues getting certain areas, I may be able to help.

Next up, skill-capping titles, and Fissure of Woe armour (I have 510K saved up).

Congrats

Have you got a Survivor title or Legendary Defender of Ascalon :D yet

Not a chance. :) I have no patience for the death levelling needed for Legendary Defender, and my normal combat tactics preclude Survivor (even with a necro, I charge right in :)). My wife has a survivor Kind of a Big Deal paragon though, and 7 other characters with Kind of a Big Deal (no, I don't have the time for that. :)).

Nice :) I recently got my Canthan Grandmaster Cartographer title. Busy with Tyria at the moment...on around 94% if I'm not mistaken. Busy using the Cartography Made Easy mod with Texmod which is helping alot. I don't have the patience to compare maps when something can do it for me! :D

Oh hell, yes. I really doubt I'd manage it without TexMod (though one of my characters made 93% of Elona without it - and I wasn't trying for Cartographer).

Cantha can be a bitch if your character's not Canthan; without Monastery Overlook, you probably need Jade Quarry, and finding 15 other people to participate in the mission can be a problem. I joined a bunch of people from a forum at 4AM one morning, and eventually we managed to just get enough.

Tyria was a real hassle because I did the campaign without thinking about cartography; I thus had to go back and scrape tiny sections around the edges of every single area, and in almost every mission.

Exactly the same situation with me. My character is Tyrian and getting some of Cantha was hell on Earth. I too went on this huge recruiting spree with another guy at 2AM and we managed to find enough people to enter battle with, then swapped sides and did it again haha.

I did the majority of Tyria before titles were released, meaning that exploring everything seemed pretty pointless then. That means all the bits I don't have are all over the place. The worst of the lot is the Southern Shiverpeaks...

I agree about the Southern Shiverpeaks; they can be really painful.

I read up on the various tricks, and used Necrotic Traversal to get into a couple of areas - the .5% in the NE of Cantha (beyond the guild-only gate), in the Crystal Desert, and in the Frost Gate mission. That helped a lot.

Yeah I used that trick for Cantha and the Crystal Desert too :D There's just one part I can't seem to get in the Crystal Desert, but apparently there is significantly more lee-way with the Tyrian title compared to the Canthan.

What part couldn't you get to in the desert? I think I got absolutely everything. I agree on the leeway in Tyria - I still had a whole bunch of tiny little bits when I got my 100%.

It's a relatively large block in the bottom right hand corner. I doubt one can get it because it looks quite unnatural...most likely a bug.

Gratz dude. The carts were some of the first titles I got.
Tyria was most difficult, Cantha was only a problem with my first char and Elona I pretty much got the first attempt. They are also listed in difficulty from diff -> easiest imo.
Tyria is such a big world compared to the others it seems to me, I guess that's why.

I pride myself on it that I didn't use any add-ons or texmods to achieve any of my titles. It just adds to the achievement for me, you know like "I did it!" not like "texmod AND I did it". :)

Anyway, gz again!

Hehe congrats on that. I'm not enjoying Tyria, due to the fact that I have little pieces all over the map minus the Crystal Desert.

Apparently each patch you uncover in Tyria counts 0.06% towards the title. In Cantha and Elona it's around 0.1% per patch. Tyria is therefore alot longer to do.

That's nice going! I have no idea how the hell I would have done it without Texmod.

Not to mention all the missions you have to do repeatedly and with certain tricks to get successfully.
