Lego mindstorms EV3

Hi.
Who on the forum has a set or know of someone that has.

I am considering a purchase for my son.

Biggest drawback I have is that once you have one set, you want three or four more so that you can actually build what you want.
I also find myself buying other sets just to get the basic parts to be able to build better structures for my EV3 componenets.
It becomes costly

Thx. bboy. Buying additional technic components, i am not too phased about. My concern is additional ev3 bricks. Mor sure how much they cost. Saw on one of the lego sites tjey go for around 169 USD.

Theres a post somewhere on this site.. recent.. about lego.. shows an online shop that sells the stuff cheaper than the stores. Store price for EV3 is about R4200.. think they had it online for about R3200

Hi, Does anybody know where I can buy additional sensors locally?

I'm specifically looking for the gyro sensor?
