Hi guys

I got this laptop with a cell phone from italk. Problem is that it comes preloaded with XP Pro and a whole lot of programs which is not so lekker. It also didn't come with any disks whatsoever cos again it comes with all the stuff preloaded. Apparently in the unlikely event of a crash one can do a recovery from this preloaded state

I can install a fresh copy of windows but my concern is that there wouldn't be any drivers for this thing i.e. mobo drivers, etc.

Sorry guys I'm quiet new to the laptop world so ur advice would be greatly appreciated

Download Clonezilla, (the ISO is around 100MB), and image the c: drive on an external drive. Then you can prune the installation, resize with GParted etc.
(Try and find the drivers though.)
