Any ideas where I can find a replacement hinge or LCD housing for a Lenovo B50 laptop in Cape Town - or South Africa actually?

I think the part numbers for the two hinges are AM14K000300 & AM14K000400

Maybe you could try to get it soldered/welded? I recently broke the side piece on my glasses and took them to VisionWorks in Benmore to be repaired and I was quite impressed with the repair that they did. It was quite expensive at R270!

Aliexpress usually has cheap spare parts for Lenovo laptops. You need to make sure exactly which hinge you need as there appear to be at least two different types for that model.
