Hi guys

I have had a look at this machine in store and I'm looking to purchase it

Would anybody recommend it
. Any trouble with the brand ?

My work laptop is a Thinkpad T580. Not the same class as the one you are looking at, but I can tell you I'm very happy with mine.

Even though it is all plastic, the build quality is superb. And the battery life excellent. Apart from the CPU (which is Intel of course), the other major components are also "brand name". E.g. Intel SSD, Samsung RAM.

It replaced a T530 that I used for 5 years, and the T530 is still going strong. It's battery is shot, but that is because I broke the retaining clip and had to replace it with a generic battery. The original battery still lasts 2.5h, but drops out of the laptop as soon as you pick it up due to the broken clip.

TL;DR: No trouble with Lenovo in my experience.

Just double check the RAM. If I remember correctly, the one RAM module is soldered onto the motherboard. Lenovo in general seems pretty good.

Nothing wrong with Lenovo in general.
