Lenovo K1 front camera not working

I bought a K1 a week ago and tried Skype but could not get a image on the front camera. At first I thought that Skype was the culprit, but tried to take a picture with the front camera and nada. Downloaded mirror app and got a black screen. Anyone else owning this tablet having problems or perhaps a fix for this?

appears to be a common problem and from google

I gave up on Lenovo supporting their product and sold my A1 on eBay!

some dude said downloading the latest skype helped with the K1...

The "Lenovo K1" had a similar problem which got fixed now with a newer Skype version
