Lenovo Notebooks

Hi guys, thinking of buying from lenovolaptops.co.za, does anyone have any experience with them? Just want to check before trying them.

Looking at this one specifically: http://www.lenovolaptops.co.za/Lenovo-59-358008-lp-70140.php

Thanks!

They recently broke HPs six year run as the #1 producer of PCs in the world so they have to be doing something right.

At that price that isn't a bad piece of kit either. What are you going to use it for?

They are LaptopDirect too.

Looks good, although I would personally buy that level of laptop with that crappy resolution screen, but you may be okay with it.

At reasonable prices in my search for a new laptop I have found it almost impossbile to find anything better than a resolution of 1366 x 768. You have to hit 5 figures to find them in my search if you want to balance resolution with performance.

Just saying. Personally I'd spring for the extra, but I realise some may not have that option.

I wish the manufacturers would have stuck with the 1440 x 900 format at least.

Yea unfortunately the jump to a higher res screen is a bit too big. Going to be used mostly for office stuff anyways so should be alright. You do make a valid point around kit vs screen balance, should have thought of that. Either way, it has been ordered from them, I'll post here about my experience with them when I get it.

Thanks for the replies!

I love the business range from Lenovo. Would buy one again. Sure you probably get a little more kit from other brands for a similar price, but quality wise they're quite decent.

Have sold plenty of Lenovo products. No problems so far except one faulty charger. Solid stuff.

Are you a Gigabyte salesman or shareholder? :p

But seriously, I'm probably gonna take one of them. I say one because I'm twisting my own arm to go with the i7 over the i5.

Nope, a promoter of best value. :)

In this case, graphics chip and 2 year warranty (assuming the Lenovo is 1 year).
