Lenovo Support any good?

I'm thinking of getting the upcoming Lenovo X220 ultraportable (12", i5 CPU, 4GB RAM, 7 hour battery life, costs the same as a Macbook Air 11" w/ Core 2 Duo 1.4, 2 GB RAM, 5 hour battery life and only slightly heavier)

However, I have no experience dealing with Lenovo in South Africa. What is their support like?

They are in a non descript office in the foreshore. Experience so far is friendly and efficient. Last time a female techie replaced my motherboard.

Don't believe the battery hours, you only get about 1.4hours of actual use on any notebook, depending on what you do of course...

I just replaced my battery with a bran new one (ment to do 6 hours) , and yes from day one at max capacity and charge just under 2 hours

I wan't to get a 9cell battery for my laptop 10hours but, the guy says you only get 2hours anyway... so iz not worth it...

The hours quoted by manufacturers are under optimum conditions with all powersave feaures set to max and you barely using the thing.

If you set all powersave settings to max with screen turned off and not use the thing then you will probably achieve their claimed figures but then the notebook is only good as a doorstop
