Lenovo Thinkpad SL510

A family member of mine is subsidising the cost of this notebook http://www.landmarkpc.co.za/store/lenovo-nslq4za-thinkpad-sl510-with-3ghsdpa-intel-core2duo-t6670-22ghz-320gb-p-3727.html so I pay R2000 for it. Just would like to know your experience with Lenovo before I confirm since the last I used was an ancient P2 IBM Thinkpad.

Lenovo is sexy! Sure, some of them don't have that legendary build quality anymore, but the majority you won't find fault with. Your best bet would be to google "notebook review lenovo sl510" and read the reviews that pop up.

While it may not be the sleekest looking laptop it is a very good quality considering the price. I have sold a number of SL400 and SL500's with no problems from any of them. While many people think they should not be branded a 'Thinkpad', they have most of the excellent build quality of the much higher priced 'genuine' Thinkpads (R & T Series). Good value for money in my opinion.
